California Ghost Gun-Making Ban Draws Constitutional Lawsuit

California’s new laws that regulate firearms drew yet another federal lawsuit Wednesday by gun rights groups that oppose a regulation aimed at so-called “ghost guns.”

The Second Amendment Foundation’s lawsuit in the US District Court for the Central District of California seeks an injunction to block the new law (S.B. 1327) that restricts individuals from making their own firearms.

SAF joins in the suit with Defense Distributed, a Texas-based company that sells a product called the “Ghost Gunner,” a general-purpose milling machine that allows a home gunsmith to complete unfinished frames and receivers for various types of firearms, ...
