The CEO of Surge Solutions Inc. must face a lawsuit saying that he hired a competitor’s former employee who allegedly divulged confidential information for Toborg oil and gas field operations in Pecos County, a Texas appeals court ruled.
Plaintiff Shallow Production Solutions Inc. showed that CEO Joshua Silber purposefully availed himself of jurisdiction in Texas courts because his contacts were aimed at acquiring property and business within the state, the Texas Court of Appeals, Eighth District, said.
