California and state education agencies are failing to investigate or intervene in discrimination claims from Jewish and Israeli parents, according to a lawsuit filed in state court Thursday.
Although California law bars discrimination in schools, its “numerous and lofty guarantees of equality are not being enforced” by the state or its Department of Education, a group of parents and a Jewish advocacy group alleged in a complaint filed in California Superior Court.
