Cabot Lodge Securities’ suit filed in a New York federal court against the Chicago-based law firm that’s handling arbitrations against it — because of actions a Colorado-based employee allegedly took — was dismissed for lack of personal jurisdiction.
Stoltmann Law Offices PC represents 47 claimants in two separate arbitrations against Cabot in Colorado. After GWG Holdings filed for bankruptcy, Stoltmann solicited clients to sue their brokerages. The solicitations included a press release that named Aegis Capital, a brokerage based in New York.
