BVIRAL Says JellySmack Infringing Over 160 Licensed Videos

A social media publisher of viral videos is suing a rival company for allegedly using its copyright-protected content without authorization.

SocialCoaster Inc.— also known as BVIRAL—alleges Keli Network Inc.— also known as JellySmack—has infringed its rights to at least 165 online videos which BVIRAL has through exclusive licenses with the third-party creators, according to the complaint filed Friday in the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. BVIRAL asserts JellySmack’s accounts have repeatedly posted and monetized its exclusively licensed content—causing financial harm that is ongoing.
