Burberry Gets Fees After Winning Trademark Suit Against Musician

Burberry Ltd. won nearly $140,000 in attorneys’ fees and costs after it successfully sued Marvel Yarbrough for trademark infringement over the musician’s use of the stage name “Burberry Jesus,” a federal court order filed in Chicago shows.

Judge Marvin E. Aspen of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Wednesday awarded Burberry nearly all of its requested attorneys’ fees, making small reductions for attorney time spent on clerical and administrative tasks and costs associated with an attorney’s annual registration with the Illinois bar.
