Bumble Inc. failed to convince a federal judge to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction a class action over alleged biometric privacy violations caused by a verification feature in its dating app Badoo.
The US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Tuesday said jurisdictional discovery was necessary to determine whether Bumble and two of its subsidiaries, Buzz Holdings L.P. and Bumble Trading LLC, were subject to the court’s jurisdiction.
