Buchheit Applicant Drops Suit Over Medical History Questions

A Buchheit Enterprises Inc. employee voluntarily dismissed her lawsuit alleging the farm-products maker required job applicants to provide information concerning their family medical histories in violation of the Illinios Genetic Information Privacy Act.

Judge Sue E. Myerscough of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois dismissed the proposed class action July 7, four days after lead plaintiff Jason Shaver and Buchheit filed a joint stipulation for voluntary dismissal of the suit.
