Certain Brita Products Company water pitchers, dispensers, and filters aren’t nearly as effective in removing contaminants as marketing portrays, a class action suit filed Wednesday in Los Angeles says.
Plaintiff Nicholas Brown, an LA County resident, is suing the company in Los Angeles Superior Court for false advertising and violation of unfair competition law. He brings the suit on behalf of US residents who bought Brita brand products within the statute of limitations period, as well as California residents who bought Brita products within four years before the suit was filed.
