Echo Lake Foods Inc., a Wisconsin-based cooked egg supplier, was hit with a lawsuit accusing it of selling products contaminated with Listeria multiple times within a one-month period.
Prepared foods maker Hans Kissle Inc. says ELF supplied cooked eggs that were “routinely adulterated” with Listeria, E. coli, and other microbial contaminants between November 2022 and January 2023. Its complaint was filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. The cooked eggs were intended to become part of breakfast taco filling, the complaint says.
