German automobile tuning company Brabus GmbH says Florida car dealerships are selling counterfeit versions of Brabus designs and products.
Brabus filed a complaint Friday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Elite Motor Cars of Miami LLC, EMC of Miami, Wheels Boutique Inc., and Dream Auto Collection Inc.
Brabus argues the dealerships are selling dozens of fraudulent Brabus-branded parts such as wheels and front grilles with the company’s “B” and other trademarked designs. Such parts can up the value of a car by over $150,000, the complaint says.
