Professional boxer Gervonta Davis is on the hook for nearly half a million dollars after a federal court in Manhattan found he reneged on an agreement to purchase several pieces of custom-made jewelry from a New York-based jeweler.
The US District Court for the Southern District of New York rejected Davis’ argument that one of the items, a diamond encrusted watch Eliantte & Co. made for him, was defective and that he timely objected to paying for it.
