Boston, City Cop Face Trial for Use of Force at Police Protest

Four protesters pepper sprayed or struck by Boston police officers dispersing a George Floyd demonstration in 2020 will be able to bring their excessive force claims to trial, a federal judge ruled.

The protesters sued the city and officers who were ordered by police brass to clear the downtown Boston streets hours after thousands attended a protest related to the murder of George Floyd.
