Border Patrol Shooting Victim Seeks Release of All Evidence

Federal prosecutors fighting the full public disclosure of evidence related to a Border Patrol shooting in Chicago have become “active enablers of an out-of-control client,” the shooting victim’s attorney said in a filing Thursday.

After the high-profile shootings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good, who were killed by immigration agents in Minneapolis last month, attorneys for Marimar Martinez went to court seeking permission to publicly release evidence in her case. Doing so would be in the public interest given the heightened need for transparency around agents’ use of force, they said.
