Bon Secours Data Breach Negligence Suit Survives Dismissal Bid

Parts of a lawsuit filed in response to a data breach of one of the largest healthcare providers in the United States can proceed, a federal judge ruled.

Workers at Bon Secours Mercy Health Inc. had standing to pursue damages, and request lifelong credit monitoring and identity theft protection that could redress some of the harm from the breach, Judge Douglas R. Cole said.
