Bojangles’ Restaurants Inc. beat a proposed class action alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal information of current and former employees that was exposed in a 2024 data breach.
The plaintiffs failed to plead actual or imminent misuse of their data traceable to the breach as is required to establish standing to sue in federal court, Judge Kenneth D. Bell of the US District Court for the Western District of North Carolina said Tuesday in granting the company’s motion to dismiss.
