Boeing Intelligence Beats Ex-Worker’s Race, Color Bias Claims

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics Inc. prevailed in a lawsuit brought by a former employee who claimed her supervisor discriminated against her in one of her performance reviews, which was tied to her annual salary increase.

Saira Ghumman’s subjective assertions—that the Boeing Co. subsidiary scored and compensated her peers more generously for their work than she was—aren’t sufficient to show her performance score and corresponding salary increase were adverse employment actions, Judge Stephanie A. Gallagher of the US District Court for the District of Maryland said in a Wednesday order granting summary judgment to Boeing.
