BNY Mellon, Ex-Worker Settle Suit Over Alleged Religious Bias

Bank of New York Mellon Corp. and a former college recruiter who claimed she was fired for saying her Presbyterian religious beliefs prevented her from supporting the LGBTQ community outside of the workplace resolved her lawsuit, Pennsylvania federal court records show.

Counsel for the bank and Kristen Rupnik told the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania Thursday that they settled the Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and Family and Medical Leave Act suit during mediation. The court entered an order Friday closing the case.
