BNY Mellon Copyright Infringement Suit Terminated Amid Mediation

A district court administratively terminated a copyright infringement lawsuit The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. faced from a software company as the two parties engage in mediation.

Judge Claire C. Cecchi terminated the case in the interests of justice and judicial economy, according to a text order from the docket on Feb. 21. Cecchi said the case will be reinstated in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey should BNY and New Jersey-based iPurusa be unable to resolve the dispute.
