BMW Manufacturing, BMW AG Face Trial in American’s Job Bias Suit

A BMW human resources employee will get a chance to convince a jury she was demoted because she’s a US citizen.

The former human resources planning department manager at BMW Manufacturing Co.'s South Carolina plant has sufficient evidence she experienced an adverse action when she was told a German citizen would be brought in from Bayerische Motoren Werke AG to fill her job after a US citizen was tapped as the plant’s human resources vice president, the US District Court for the District of South Carolina said.
