BMS Exits Dental Surgeon’s Suit Tying Cancer Drug to Vision Loss

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. defeated a lawsuit by a dental surgeon who alleged the leukemia drug Sprycel caused retinal bleeding that led to vision loss.

Igor Roshkovan alleged he started taking Sprycel in July 2019, a month after his leukemia was diagnosed. He sued the drugmaker in the US District Court for the Central District of California, alleging it failed to warn doctors and patients about this risk.
