A former employee of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan was awarded nearly $12.7 million by a federal jury Friday after she was fired for refusing to get a Covid-19 vaccine due to her Catholic faith.

Lisa Domski convinced the Detroit jury that Blue Cross unlawfully religiously discriminated against her both by denying her vaccine exemption request and then firing her.
