Blackrock Beats Equity Trader’s Bias Suit Over ESG, DEI Policies

A fired Blackrock Inc. employee failed with his lawsuit alleging the firm’s shift to ESG-based investment strategies and emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion caused him to be discriminated against because he’s a White heterosexual male.

The former equity finance trader didn’t connect his termination, Blackrock’s failure to promote him, or his allegedly unequal pay to his race, color, gender, or sexual orientation, the US District Court for the District of New Jersey said Monday.
