Black Student’s Challenge to Texas School’s Hair Policy Tossed

A Black student who refused to cut his hair is without a legal remedy in taking on the Texas high school that suspended him, a state appeals court ruled Thursday.

Darryl George has no relief to gain because he left Barbers Hill Independent School District and graduated from high school in another district, a three-justice panel on a Houston appeals court said.
