Black, Hispanic Social Workers Allege Biased Certification Exam

Black and Hispanic social workers filed a proposed class action against the Association of Social Work Boards alleging that its certification examinations racially discriminate against their ability to enter the profession.

The lawsuit comes after the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission dismissed the charge, giving the plaintiffs the right to seek remedy in the US District Court of the Southern District of New York.
