Black Gay Liberty University Diversity Director Alleges Job Bias

Liberty University senior management discriminated against its director of diversity retention because he is a Black gay Christian who didn’t share his supervisor’s view that Christianity condemns homosexuality, forcing him to quit, a federal lawsuit filed in Virginia charged Thursday.

LeeQuan McLaurin said he was required to attend a campus “Blexit” event led by “far-right influencer Candace Owens,” which encouraged Black people to leave the Democratic party.

He was forced to stand among mostly White students and join their racially charged chants during the event, McLaurin said.
