A group of students who alleged that graduation-photography company GradImages collected their biometric information in violation of Illinois law may proceed as a class in their privacy lawsuit, a federal judge ruled.
The plaintiffs were able to show that proceeding as a class was appropriate despite individualized questions related to members’ residency, Judge Stephen P. McGlynn of the US District Court for the Southern District of Illinois said.
