BioLife Plasma Sued Over Data Sharing With Snap, Salesforce

BioLife Plasma Services LP and Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. enabled third parties to intercept the personal information of BioLife account holders without their consent in violation of the California Invasion of Privacy Act, a proposed federal class action said.

Lead plaintiff Evan Wooten allege that BioLife and Takeda installed online tracking tools operated by Snap Inc. and Salesforce Inc. on the BioLife website, allowing the tech companies to collect the email addresses, home zip codes, and IP addresses of visitors before they registered for an account or otherwise consented to the collection of their information.
