Billing Firm Medusind Settles Data Breach Suit for $5 Million

Medical billing processor Medusind Inc.'s agreement to pay $5 million to victims of a data breach as part of a settlement won final approval from a federal court.

The settlement provides credit monitoring services and reimbursement options to class members and requires Medusind to undertake certain security measures, according to the final approval order from the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
