Hundreds of millions of dollars in corporate solar power credits are on the line as the Florida Supreme Court considers whether it’s fair to allow big business to invest in clear energy and reap savings at the expense of other customers.
Florida Power & Light, one of the country’s largest utilities, urged the justices Tuesday to approve its deal allowing big business and wealthy residents to pay extra on their bills to accelerate a 1,800 megawatt industrial solar expansion that will give these customers net-savings after several years.
