Biden’s Title IX Trans Rights Rule Struck By Another Court (1)

A federal rule barring discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in federally funded schools was struck by a Texas federal court Wednesday.

Former President Joe Biden’s Education Department exceeded its executive power and violated the US Constitution’s First Amendment when it crafted the rule interpreting Title IX, the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas said.

“Because the distinction between male and female is at the heart of Title IX, ‘throwing gender identity into the mix eviscerates the statute and renders it largely meaningless,’” Judge Reed O’Connor wrote, vacating the rule.
