BetterHelp engaged in deceptive and unfair business practices by promising its users that its telehealth app could quickly match individuals to licensed therapists, according to a proposed class action filed Monday.
The company falsely implies that it “has a therapist network sufficient to rapidly ‘match’ patients with a provider suitable to meet their needs,” but BetterHelp accepts more patients than its therapists are able to treat, the complaint said.
