Becton Dickinson Wins Restraining Order in Trade Secret Lawsuit

Becton, Dickinson and Co. notched a court order prohibiting one of its former scientists from disclosing trade secrets she’s allegedly withheld after leaving the company in October.

Becton Dickinson has demonstrated a likelihood of success on the merits and shown it would suffer irreparable harm without the court’s intervention, Judge Jamel K. Semper of the US District Court for the District of New Jersey said in a Dec. 30 order granting the medical device company’s request for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction.
