Baystate Health System Inc. failed to convince a federal court to dismiss the privacy claims that a patient brought against the academic medical center for using online trackers from Meta Platforms and Google.
The Jane Doe plaintiff plausibly alleged that Baystate’s disclosure of her medical informationto third parties was an invasion of privacy under Massachusetts law, and a violation of the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, Judge Julia E. Kobick said for the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
