Bayer Healthcare LLC must face a class action alleging the pharmaceutical giant deceptively advertised certain One A Day multivitamins as “natural’ despite containing synthetic ingredients, after a federal judge in California certified classes in both California and New York.

Judge Michael M. Anello of the US District Court for the Southern District of California on Monday rejected Bayer’s argument that the statement on the vitamins’ label was immaterial to reasonable consumers.
