Banner Bank Employees Advance Class Suit Over Off-the-Clock Work

Banner Bank must continue to litigate claims that it violated the Fair Labor Standards Act and multiple state wage laws by intentionally failing to pay 200-plus mortgage loan officers for off-the-clock work, a federal judge in Seattle ruled.

The employees put forth enough evidence from which a jury could reasonably conclude that the employees worked unpaid hours, and that the bank deliberately discouraged them from recording this time, Judge Robert S. Lasnik said Monday.
