Banco Popular de Puerto Rico won’t have to face a proposed class action alleging it negligently failed to protect customers’ personal information in connection with a June 2021 data breach.

Plaintiff Rosa Rivera-Marrero’s claims of injury based on an increased risk of future harm weren’t sufficiently concrete and imminent to give her standing to sue, Judge Aida Delgado-Colón said March 31.
