An aviation company successfully convinced a Florida appellate court to give it a re-do in its malpractice claim against the law firm it hired before accusing the firm of failing to ensure its attorney was certified to practice in the state.
Aviation Performance Solutions LLC can still pursue its legal malpractice claim against Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, Judge Martha C. Warner ruled Wednesday, reversing a trial court’s dismissal because questions remain about whether APS would have won its original case. The decision reversed the lower court’s summary judgment in favor of the firm.
