Avem Health Partners to Pay $1.45 Million to Settle Breach Suit

Oklahoma-based Avem Health Partners Inc. will pay $1.45 million to settle allegations it failed to protect the personal and health information of more than 271,000 people that was exposed in a 2022 data breach.

Magistrate Judge Suzanne Mitchell of the US District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma gave final approval to the deal Wednesday.
