An invasion of privacy claim against Autotrader.com Inc. is dismissed because the plaintiff couldn’t show that she has standing to sue the company for allegedly deploying spyware on its website, a California federal district court said
Plaintiff Rebeka Rodriguez—a “tester” who seeks out legal violations and files lawsuits to ensure legal compliance—"visited and entered information into defendant’s website expecting the information to be accessed, recorded, and disclosed,” Judge R.
