Auto Engineers Lose Bid to Revive Lawsuit Over Bribery Scandal

Dozens of automobile engineers on Friday failed to convince the Sixth Circuit to revive a lawsuit against United Auto Workers and automaker FCA US LLC filed in the wake of a corruption scandal by sending it back to state court.

The engineers’ fraud and other claims over job transfers more than a decade ago, which were first filed in a state court in suburban Detroit, must be handled in federal court, the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit said.
