Attorneys Win $900,000 in Fees in Unaccompanied Migrant Lawsuit

Attorneys who represented a class of unaccompanied migrant children collected more than $900,000 in fees Tuesday after a district court ruled that only a 15% reduction of the award was appropriate.

A 15% reduction from the attorneys’ original request of just over $1 million is appropriate considering there were deficient billing entries in the fee bid, Judge Stephanie A. Gallagher said in a memorandum opinion.
