AstraZeneca Must Defend Against Covid-19 Vaccine Refusal Claim

A former AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP sales specialist can proceed with her claim that the company unlawfully fired her after she refused Covid-19 vaccination, a federal district court said.

Tammy Siko adequately alleged her termination was unlawful under the Americans with Disabilities Act, because she lost her job after the company concluded her lack of vaccination made her disabled, District Judge W. Scott Hardy of the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania said in a Wednesday opinion.
