Aspen Dental Suit Over Info Sharing With Meta, Google Advances

Aspen Dental Management Inc. must face several claims in a proposed class action alleging it shared the personal information of patients with Meta Platforms Inc. and Google LLC in violation of federal and state privacy laws.

The plaintiffs adequately pleaded wiretapping claims under the federal Electronic Communications Privacy Act and wiretapping laws in California, Florida, and Pennsylvania, Judge Virginia M. Kendall of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said Monday.
