Asics Hits Unauthorized Online Retailers With Trademark Claims

Asics America Corp. filed a pair of lawsuits against online retailers for allegedly selling products bearing the company’s trademarks without authorization.

The lawsuits, filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Central District of California, name Sneaker Arena LLC, Has Brands LLC, the companies’ owners, and multiple John Does.

ASICS permits its products to be purchased by consumers in the US “only from ASICS itself or from sellers who are expressly authorized by ASICS to sell ASICS products,” the complaints allege.
