Ascension Health Patients Advance Suit Over 2024 Data Breach

Ascension Health must face the claims of three additional plaintiffs in consolidated litigation alleging the health system negligently failed to protect the personal information of nearly 5.6 million people that was exposed in a May 2024 data breach.

The plaintiffs adequately pleaded claims of negligence and breach of fiduciary duty, Judge John A. Ross of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri said April 10.
