An artist specializing in designing transit maps accused the US Tennis Association Inc. of violating his copyrights by selling t-shirts substantially similar to his design of the New York City subway system.
Jake Berman filed the complaint against USTA and Mojo Art & Image LLC Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleging copyright infringement. USTA is the organizer of the US Open, one of the four Grand Slam tournaments in professional tennis, according to the complaint.
