Arkansas Age Verification Law Blocked Again After Amendments (1)

Arkansas’ social media regulation was blocked again by a federal court Monday, after it determined that the law was either too vague or too intrusive of First Amendment rights.

The state’s Social Media Safety Act required certain social media platforms to verify the age of account holders, and was modified by 2025’s Act 900 to require those websites to avoid using addictive features on minors, set default settings for minor user accounts, and provide parents a dashboard where they could monitor their children’s use habits.
