Arizona lost its bid to use environmental arguments to block the Biden administration from ending border-wall construction and taking other immigration-related actions, according to a federal judge’s ruling on Monday.
The state failed to establish that it has suffered, or will suffer, any injury from the termination of construction on the border wall, Judge Dominic W. Lanza of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona said.
Arizona consequently lacks standing to bring its claims under the National Environmental Policy Act, the court said in denying the motion for preliminary injunction.
