Arden Claims Service Hit With Class Action Over 2023 Data Breach

A settlement administration company is facing a proposed class action after an October 2023 data breach allegedly compromised sensitive personal information of roughly 138,000 people, according to a new federal lawsuit.

Arden Claims Service, LLC, failed to “implement adequate and reasonable cyber-security procedures and protocols” in line with industry standards and guidelines from the federal government, which led to the exposure of personally identifiable information of former settlement class members last year, the complaint, filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York, alleges.
